Bodegas y Viñedos Artazu is a project by the top winemaker from Artadi: Juan-Carlos López de la Calle.
The winery was founded in 1996 in the city of Artazu in the northernmost part of the Basque Country. They acquired 10 hectares of the best vineyards at an age of over 60 years and quickly made a name for themselves with first-class red wines at pleasantly moderate prices.
Given the great success, it quickly became clear that a white wine should also be part of the range. And in the 2014 edition it comes for the first time as a single varietal Garnacha Blanca! The bouquet is marked by citrus fruits, yellow stone fruits and Mediterranean herbs. Typical of Artadi's terroir enthusiasts, a mineral note also reveals itself on the palate, which gives this Blanco a lot of personality and character.
